Becoming a Member
If you would like to become a member of First Baptist Church, we require that you have trusted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior and that you are baptized after making that decision. After meeting those requirements, you can go to the altar during the invitation of any service to greet our Pastor. You may join by baptism, by letter from another church, or by statement of faith.
Being Baptized
Baptism is not necessary for salvation, but it is necessary for obedience to Christ. It is symbolic of the re-birth and transformation of a new Christian experience, and it makes a public statement of your personal faith in Christ. Baptism is limited to those who have made a personal commitment to follow Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Once you have made that commitment, we welcome you to come forward during an invitation and indicate your desire to participate in believer's baptisim by immersion.
