RECORD NUMBERS FOR THE BLOCK PARTY

Thank you to everyone that attended the Block Party on Friday night.  Thanks also to those who “manned” tables, prepared hotdogs, helped with set up, participated in trunk or treat, gave monetarily, helped with clean up and pitched in to help in all areas.

For an event like the block party to have an impact, many volunteers are needed in key areas. God truly blessed that night because he gave our church an opportunity to meet people and to have an influence in our community.

Our church collected over 100 contact cards of people in our community, many of which have no church home.  It is our calling now to follow up with those people to see how we can continue to reach them for Christ.  If you are interested in joining a team whose sole purpose is to personally contact people through letters, emails, or phone calls, please see Jay Fennell or Randy Fagg.  Mark your calendars for next year’s Block Party…Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009 from 5:30 – 8:30 pm.
