We have walked our way around the Holy Land and now we are on our way back home. We are approximately 220 miles west of Jerusalem. So far we have walked 9,681!! Let’s not lose our momentum as we walk to complete the journey. Keep up the good work, record your mileage and we will get it done!!!!
2/18/2009 We have arrived in Jerusalem and it has only been 4 weeks! Congratulations to all participants!! We want to especially thank Mrs. Emma Johnson who at the age of 92 has averaged 2 miles a week. What a healthy way to begin the year. Now that we are in Jerusalem, let’s follow the steps of Jesus through the Holy Land. During your prayer and meditation time this week consider the events and locations of Jesus’ ministry. According to internet sources, it is conservatively speculated that Jesus walked 3,125 miles during the three years of his ministry. We will spend two weeks following the footsteps of Jesus.

Our twelve weeks of Walk to Jerusalem begins Sunday, January 18, 2009! It is the day to start MOVING. All forms of exercise will be counted. Any activity that raises your heart rate above normal for 20 minutes will count as a mile.
Families who “walk” together get a bonus of double miles. Records will be kept through Sunday school classes. If you do not attend Sunday school we encourage you to participate as well.
Devotion booklets, prayer cards and progress sheets for this event will be available in the church office. Total miles walked each week will be announced and a map will be displayed to show progress on a new bulletin board near the office.
The church gym will be open each week day from 8 am – 5 pm except from 10 – 11:30 on rainy or wet days.
