Robert Beaver, our Minister of Music and Media since April, 2005, is a native of Gulfport, Mississippi. He received his Bachelor of Music, with a major in Church Music, from William Carey College, Hattiesburg, Mississippi, in 1982. He was ordained by the First Baptist Church of Honea Path, South Carolina in 1984. He earned the Master of Arts in Christian Education from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 1995.
Robert has served churches in the upstate of South Carolina since 1983, serving in music, children, youth, adult, senior adult and associate pastoral positions. He has experience with a fully-graded children’s and youth music ministry, including choirs, ensembles, handbells and instrumental ensembles, along with choirs, ensembles and handbells for adults and senior adults. Robert also has a devoted heart in the pastoral care ministries for individuals of all ages and their families.
Robert and his wife, Jane, a native of Belton, South Carolina, have four grown sons: Jeb, Benjamin, Clay and Luke. Robert’s desire is to lead people into growing relationships with Christ while experiencing the heart-felt worship of our Lord. He strives to build up the body of Christ through discipleship, worship, fellowship, love and encouragement, while involving all age groups in various ministry and mission opportunities within the church and community.
