Speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord.
Ephesians 5:19
The goal of the Music Ministry of First Baptist Church is to provide music which honors God in worship, which is useful for the building up and encouragement of the fellowship of believers, and which supports all of the programs, activities, ministries and outreaches of the church. Our worship format is very traditional, utilizing the piano and pipe organ with standard church hymns and anthems, while also incorporating new ideas, instruments and styles of music. Our desire is to enhance the worship service by providing diversity and variety in the musical selections in order to reach all people in true heart-felt worship of our Lord. The music ministry, along with our children’s and youth ministries, offers opportunities for involvement and music education for all ages from children to senior adults in various musical groups including choirs, handbells, hand chimes and praise band.
