Sunday School

The new Sunday School year is off to a great start!!  Please feel welcome to come and join any class.

Sunday School at Belton First Baptist begins at 10:00 am on Sunday mornings. It is a very important part of our church. We offer classes for preschool, children, youth, and adults. We have a variety of adult classes. Some are grouped by gender, some are grouped by age, but mostly they are a mixture of ages. Each class has their own literature based on the interest and needs of that particular class. These classes are led by teachers that are intent on growing in the word of God and in their own spirituality. The opportunity for fellowship in these small groups is amazing.

Following is a brief description of each of  our classes.

Jesus said, "Let the little children come unto me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these."  Matthew 19:14
Our younger children classes are in the Leda Poore Center which is to the left of the breeze way, beside the gym. This is for ages birth to kindergarten in Sunday School, and then they stay through the worship service. The classes are divided into ages 0-12 months, 12-24 months, 2 &3 year olds, and 4 & 5 year olds.

Sunday School classes for 1st through 5th grades are located upstairs on the third floor children’s hall.
This hall is designed for the children and is where their Sunday morning and Wednesday evening activities are held.

Youth Sunday School is located in the basement between the Family Life Center and the main part of the church. All youth activities are held here.

The Exceptional Class is for children or adults with special needs.  This class is located downstairs from the front vestibule.

The New Beginnings Class is a new class located at the end of the Sunday School Hall on the right hand side. Please come have coffee with us and share a discussion style bible study time each Sunday morning at 10:00. This is a younger class, but open to all.

The Co-Ed Class is located in room 209B, on the main Sunday School Hall. Leland Williamson teaches this class. Anyone is welcome.

The Mixed Class is another class that is on the main Sunday School Hall, at the end on the left. Emily Shannon teaches and everyone is welcome.

Pares and Spares is located downstairs from the front vestibule. Hank Ehiles teaches this class of men and women. All ages are represented here and invited to come in for a biscuit and a cup of coffee as they fellowship and grow together.

The Philathea/Fidelis women’s class is also located downstairs from the front vestibule. Martha Bagby and Norman Smith teach this very active group of women. All ladies, young and old, are welcome.

The King’s Daughters Class is located on the main Sunday School Hall in room 210B. All ladies are welcome to this class.

Martha Adams Kay is another class of ladies that have been active in this church for along time. All ladies are welcome to come and visit on the main Sunday School Hall in room 208B.

The Men’s Class is located just off the main Sunday School Hall in room 204A. This is a group of very active men that invite you to come and visit any Sunday. Buddy Dempsy is their main teacher.

The Marshall Bible School Class is located in the Gambrell Chapel. This is a larger men’s class that is open to all ages.

We welcome you to visit any of these classes that you feel would best suit your needs. Try several if you like. They all enjoy wonderful fellowship and bible study, and are each positive that their class is the best.
